When Life Gets Hard Do You Quit?
When life gets hard what do you do?
Do you give up or do you give it your all? Do you give your life a 100% even though you have challenges in your life or do you give up like most people?
You see that’s what separates the winners from the losers, the fighters from the quitters, the successful from the unsuccessful.
Last night I watched a movie called, “Facing The Giants.” I highly recommend it. All of us have giants in our life. These giants could be fear, self doubt, scarcity, fear of the unknown, etc. However the one thing that I learnt from the movie is it doesn’t matter how big our giants are nothing is impossible with God. God is the conqueror of it all. He is the God of the universe. When life gets hard if we would just persevere and trust God he will come through for us if we give Him the glory.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self discipline.
Tonight I was thinking about my business and wondering if I would ever make the income that I would like to make. However I realized it’s not about the money, it’s not about us. This business is about helping God’s people and giving God the praise and glory that he deserves. If we delight ourselves in the Lord he will give us the desires of our heart.
So What Do I Do Now?
1. Get ready to take ownership of your life!
You must begin to see yourself as a sovereign being who is fully accountable for the condition of your life, and take complete responsibility for everything you think, say, and do. No matter what.
2. Believe In Yourself!
What do you think of yourself? Do you believe in yourself? Are you confident?
Too many people dwell on the negative things about themselves instead of the positive. In one of his letters the apostle Paul wrote:
“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
That word of advice applies to things about yourself as well as about the things of God. Think about all the things you have going for you. It will make a difference in how you look at yourself.

If you don’t want to get into positive thinking, that’s okay.
Just eliminate all the negative thoughts from your mind,
and whatever’s left will be fine.

3. Take Action!
“Dreams don’t work unless you do.”
John C. Maxwell
Here are some action thoughts taken from John C. Maxwell’s book, “Dare To Dream.”
- You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
- The first two letters in the word goal are G-O.
- Some people dream of worthy accomplishments while others wake up and do them.
- Anybody who brags about what he is going to do tomorrow probably did the same thing yesterday.
- People will never be what they ought to be until they are doing what they ought to be doing.
The Future Is Now
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
DARE To Dream…And Then DO IT!
